practical inquiry regarding meaning » concrete conditions » security
The goal here is to create through cooperative effort the structures that will ensure that everyone has the opportunity to maximize their potential. Structures range from those which reliably secure access to clean water, nutritious food, and so on; to those which secure developmental opportunities like access to quality education, fulfilling employment, and so on; to the broader structures which underlie and condition all others, including economic and political structures.
Objectives will include determining priorities. For example, the problem of justice will need to be addressed, where we negotiate a balance between cooperation for the greater good on the one hand with individual rights on the other. The best balance will be achieved when those two options conflict as little as possible.
Practices will include getting educated and educating others, developing employable skills and helping others develop theirs, participating in the public conversation around setting-up and/or restructuring laws and economic policies, and so on.
