core questions

This Project asks 26 core questions as arranged in four phases (I, O, A, and L) with their 21 nodes. The image to the right depicts the logical relationships between the questions. The menu items to the left list one way of naming the central issue at the core of each question. (They could be named otherwise.) Letters are assigned to each question for ease of reference and also as a way to express a question's position within the system's logic, even if renamed. It is not this Project's aim to state the final word on any of these issues. On the contrary. As perenneal questions that can always be asked and answered differently depending on context, there is no final word to state. Indeed, the aim is to keep the questions open and alive.

After scanning the list to the left, please begin by clicking 0-4 along the top of this page to read essays introducing the Project. In brief:

0: addresses how questions are approached, and pages under questions consider what it means to ask each question
1: address how concepts are used as well as the rationale behind the Project's interrelational logic, and pages under theory address each question's theoretical position within that logic
2: addresses how it is that traditional, historical, and scholarly information is to inform the Project, and pages under context relate extra-Project material to the Project
3: addresses the fact that we ask the Project's questions by virtue of the way we're living our lives, and pages under practice address how participating in the Project might (and possibly ought) to guide our habits
4: addresses how participants might contribute to our Project, and the pages under gameplay are to feature participants and their contributions
